PFLAG Vancouver is holding a fundraiser on Thursday, July 9th from 6-10pm at the Junction on Davie Street to support our yearly operating budget which include costs associated with our support meetings and crisis/information phone line as well as our Pride Parade Entry.

$15 gets your a burger, bag of chips and a sleeve of Bud! A substantial portion of that cost goes directly to PFLAG Vancouver, so you can help us and have a fun evening at the same time.

Entry subject to capacity

We will also have a toonie toss, silent auction, balloon pop, and door prizes!!!!!

In addition to our primary goal of supporting families and friends, PFLAG Vancouver also strives to advocate for social change in the community. The theme of our fundraiser is "Not Just Pink For A Day" because LGBTQ2+ children are still the most bullied children in schools and we know it's important to remember that more is needed than just Pink Shirt Day. Despite recent policies adopted by the Vancouver School Board which help in supporting queer and trans children, we recognize that there is still work to do in ensuring that this policy is here to stay and in making sure that other school boards across the Province adopt similar policies and PFLAG Vancouver will be there to fight for our children.

So please wear your brightest, most fantastic pink outfit to our exciting fundraiser, we hope to see you there!

Pflag Vancouver acknowledges that our work spans many Territories and Treaty areas and that our meetings are held on the unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. We are grateful for the traditional Knowledge Keepers and Elders who are with us today, to those who have gone before us, and for the youth that inspire us. We recognize the land as an act of Reconciliation, as recommended by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s (TRC) 94 Calls to Action, and of gratitude to those whose territory we reside on, work on or are visiting.
