RCMP Const. Tad Milmine from Surrey's detachment has been featured on CTV News in Ontario, speaking about his own experience with bullying as a child.  Const. Milmine shared this link with us on our Facebook page, and we want to ensure you see it as well.

Officers like Const. Milmine are helping kids in school, along with other community members, to understand that anyone can be bullied, and stereotypes about gay people are often just that:  stereotypes.  We applaud his efforts, and we're happy to share his story.

Our public meetings will relaunch as of Wednesday October 17, 2012 at 7pm Pacific.

Gordon Neighbourhood House, 1019 Broughton Street in Vancouver's West End, (between Comox and Nelson).

Parking is very challenging in much of the West End, but particularly in this neighbourhood.  Please consider other transportation alternatives, such as TransLink.  The #6 Davie stops near Broughton, just a few blocks south of the meeting location.  The #5 Robson also stops just a couple of blocks north.

Feel free to drop us a line if you plan to join us.  Email us at info@pflagvancouver.com.

Pflag Vancouver acknowledges that our work spans many Territories and Treaty areas and that our meetings are held on the unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. We are grateful for the traditional Knowledge Keepers and Elders who are with us today, to those who have gone before us, and for the youth that inspire us. We recognize the land as an act of Reconciliation, as recommended by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s (TRC) 94 Calls to Action, and of gratitude to those whose territory we reside on, work on or are visiting.
