PFLAG Canada announces a ‘Simply Fabulous’ way to help inspire change!

PFLAG Canada is busy assembling its new Family Recipe Cookbook, a collection of fabulous family recipes from all over Canada.  Wayne Harrison, former Executive Director and co-founder of the Saint John NB Chapter, is spearheading the project and he needs your help!

Sharing Your Fabulousness.  We are looking for your favourite tried and true recipes, the ones you use every day, on special occasions or during time shared with family and friends.  We would also love to have the stories that go along with them, their history and their origins – even dinner table coming out stories!

Ready for the Holiday Season.  The cookbook will be released in October in time for the 2012 Holiday Season - and we’re going paperless. This will be an e-book, available for download or on CD-ROM.

Feeding Community Spirit.  We have a wonderful opportunity here to share our favourite recipes, our stories, and to help PFLAG Canada raise some much needed funds.  So please, dust off your old books, dig out your old recipes and send them by July 31st to Wayne Harrison at 1633 Mountain Road, Box 29211, Moncton, NB  E1G 4R3, or by email at: simplyfabulous@pflagcanada.ca.

Your support is important.  PFLAG Canada is Canada’s only national charitable organization that provides support and education to anyone with questions or concerns about sexual orientation or gender identity issues. The organization is supported by a vast network of volunteers who give generously of their time and compassion to help make a difference in the lives of the people who come to us for help. Funding is provided through corporate sponsorships, fundraising projects and by private donors who are committed to inspiring change.

Thank you for your support!

Pflag Vancouver acknowledges that our work spans many Territories and Treaty areas and that our meetings are held on the unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. We are grateful for the traditional Knowledge Keepers and Elders who are with us today, to those who have gone before us, and for the youth that inspire us. We recognize the land as an act of Reconciliation, as recommended by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s (TRC) 94 Calls to Action, and of gratitude to those whose territory we reside on, work on or are visiting.
