An amazing day yesterday: PFLAG Vancouver, with much help, managed to raise almost $1,400! Thank you to Barb Snelgrove, Aideen McKenna, Sharon Schaan, Brenna Bezanson, Charmaine De Silva, Melady Preece, Mark Robinson, Cameron Sandbeck, Clarke Fryer and Shari Muttart, along with a host of others. It was quite an afternoon, with a surprise group of US cyclists coming up to us within the last 1/2 hour, helping us exceed the $1k mark. Thank you Ronnie Ekkert, Shayne Gemmell and Richard M. Romano Carlsen, along with Shari Muttart and all the staff at The Junction for all your help and generosity! Our BBQ team: Brenna Bezanson, Charmaine De Silva, Clarke Fryer, Cameron Sandbeck and Mark Robinson... we know you did more than you signed up for, but THANK YOU SO MUCH! You were a HUGE help to us yesterday, and you made it happen. Thank you Michelle and Garfield Wilson for helping to get the word out on the street! Thanks also to Tanner Fehr as well as Cecile Poulin and Tom Smith for all you did to assist us yesterday. Thank you to Robert Joseph Greene for donating the autographed books for our silent auction. Thank you very much to Danny Gray Fox and Gray Fox Photography for allowing us to use the fabulous picture for our posters. Thank you as well to the Vancouver Queer Film Festival and Drew Dennis for helping to support us by getting the word out! To absolutely anyone we've missed here: Thank you so much. We are truly grateful for the support from the community!

We're excited to have Robert Joseph Greene joining us on Sunday. Mr. Greene is 'a Canadian author of gay romance fiction, best known for The Gay Icon Classics of the World, a collection of gay-themed love stories from over 12 different countries. Each story represents a culture and a people. The book was listed by PFLAG Canada as a recommended book in their “Books Worth Reading” section.' Mr. Greene is kindly donating two of his works to be auctioned at our barbeque this Sunday! He will also be on hand to autograph them each for the successful bidder(s). The books he will make available to us are "Would You Mind?" and "This High School Has Closets", (1 each).
