Directions for those who want to march with us on Sunday August 2nd:
Our parade location number this year is AS11. That means we're in Section A, on the south side of the street, and we're the 11th in line. This also means we're quite early in the parade, so if you want to march with us, you'll need to be there early as well. For anyone marching, you MUST be with us no later than 11:30am. Please see the photos attached for the best way to get to Section A: We'll be on Robson between Burrard and Thurlow. Generally there is access to Thurlow at Alberni, but check with parade officials. Make sure they know you're with PFLAG in position AS11. At the end of the parade, it's very important to follow directions from officials. You may be asked to head down Beach Ave in a different direction than the vehicle. If this happens, we will reconvene at Beach and Thurlow. Please note: We CANNOT allow items to be placed in the vehicle this year. If you carry something to the parade, you must be able to carry it yourself. Please use a backpack if you have items you wish to carry. If you have questions, please send them to us at [email protected]. We look forward to seeing you!
