A message from Susan, President of PFLAG Vancouver

Happy New Year for 2013!

We at PFLAG Vancouver would like to wish you all the best in the New Year.  We are hoping for a great year with PFLAG.  We recently started to have public meetings at our new venue, Gordon Neighbourhood House.  Our upcoming dates are:

Wed. Feb. 20th – 7:00

Wed. Mar. 20th – 7:00

We’d like to invite one and all to join us.  We don’t charge people to come to our meetings, in the form of membership monthly fees, as we don’t want to discourage anyone from coming.  However, we would like to tell you about an ongoing fund-raiser which is our Pennies for PFLAG initiative.  We have risen over $400 so far through coin contributions.  We like the sound of Pennies for PFLAG, and pennies will be going out of circulation soon, so those are great reasons to collect pennies, but we want you to know we won’t discriminate against other forms of money – the silvery kind, for instance.   We’ll even take the folding kind!  So if you have a coin collection you’d like to contribute, just bring it along to the meeting, or contact us if it’s a substantial amount and we’ll arrange to pick it up from you.  Thanks for your support!
